Mike has a B.A. in Criminal Justice Studies, having graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida Gulf Coast University.

In 1982, Mike joined the Charlotte County Sheriff's Department. He retired as a Major, in command of the Investigations Division.

While working for the Charlotte County Sheriff's Department, Mike attended Stetson University College of Law and earned his Juris Doctor degree.

Following retirement from Law Enforcement, Mike began his career as an attorney, beginning in a local Civil and Commercial Litigation firm. During this time, Mike gained valuable experience as a trial attorney working on a variety of civil litigation matters.

In early 2010, Mike opened Savage Law P.A. with the guiding priciple of aggressively representing the client's interests at reasonable rates.
